My Story
When I found out there was such a thing as a celebrant, I immediately decided that I had to be one. What a perfect job for someone like me - a closet romantic in a long term relationship with ritual and ceremony, with a habit of finding myself centre stage with a microphone in my hand in all kinds of circumstances, from happy to heartbreaking.
I’ve been told that I am witty, warm and welcoming, a great listener and a force to be reckoned with. I’m kind and I’m punctual (believe me, punctual is pretty important in a celebrant), and I’m more than a bit of a nerd.
A white settler on lək̓ʷəŋən territory in Victoria, I'm also a queer parent of two, ordained Metaphysical Minister and long time practitioner of nature-based, feminist witchcraft. I have a Masters in Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University and am triple certified in Weddings, Funerals, and Ceremonies for Healing and Transitions from the Celebrant Foundation and Institute.
I do fun stuff like dance hip hop badly, sing reasonably well and write poems I rarely share with anyone. I'm a lover of story in all its forms and ice cream in all its flavours.
My pronouns are they/them.

Life-Cycle Celebrants® are thoughtfully trained ceremony specialists who deeply believe in the power of ritual and ceremony to strengthen the bonds of families, partnerships and communities and deepen the human connection across generations.
Not just another officiant, we are skilled writers and storytellers who excel at drawing out the essence of our clients to create just right ceremonies for all of the milestone of life. We co-create and perform customized ceremonies for weddings, funerals and other life events that reflect the needs, beliefs and values of the people we are honoring and we welcome diversity, proudly serving anyone who wants a personalized ceremony crafted just for them.
But beyond that, celebrants are just honestly some of my favourite people. We care deeply, not just about saying the right words or finding the right rituals, but about making the world a better, more loving, more connected place. About creating beauty, joy and a little bit of magic. About deeply honouring grief, loss and change. I feel beyond blessed to be a part of that team.
Who I work with
It’s probably clear that we will work well together if you are a bit (or a lot) left of centre and looking for something a little on the playful side - but I can be serious too, I promise. Cross culture ceremonies are in my wheelhouse and outdoor weddings in gorgeous natural settings are my jam. And I LOVE blending families
- let’s get your kiddos involved too! As a modern, metaphysical minister, I draw on my deep connection to nature and spirit to hold the container for your celebration, while ensuring your love story is right where it belongs, at the heart!
My favourite clients are out of the box and/or out of the closet. LGBTQ+ weddings are especially dear to my heart and I click well with burners, pagans, environmental and social justice activists, artists, performers and creators of all kinds. But listen, don’t worry if you are none of those things. I’m happy to work with anyone that wants a unique and personal ceremony made just for them!
